Michie Sushi - Dublin

I tried takeout from this restaurant after hearing it was the best sushi in Dublin. I strongly disagree. The maki roll had hard, undercooked rice and the nigiri was the same. The gyoza was overcooked to the point of being hard. It was not very appetizing. I ate it because I was hungry, but ended up throwing a good portion of it away. I will not be ordering from here again.

Take away ordered today, at first we thought that half of the order was missing... the portions are extremely small, I ordered a sashimi, a thin layer of rice, only one slice of each fish ! , the slice of salmon was so thin you could see through it. We though that for 80 euros, we would have enough to eat, we were completely wrong. the thickness of the fish slices was absolutely outrageaous. look at the size of the tuna cubes, size of a lego! Will never order again; this is very poor value for money.

It didn't look promising from the street until we noticed the awards plaques. Inside its very basic and small but the service and Sushi were tops. Very reasonably priced too.

We ordered the soft shell crab roll, the Osaka roll, the Chirashi, edamame, salmon sashimi, mochi and some Saké. Everything was delicious and the staff went above and beyond to make everything enjoyable. Another table were actually quite rude to the waitress while we were there and she handled it so so well!

Saw this place on TA but it sas closed on arrival in Din Laoghaire Monday They open for lunch from midday. It is small and cosy seats about 20. The takeaway was busy a courier was in and out making deliveries also. Laura, a lovely pleasant waitress looked after me She knew the menu well and was able to advise portion sizes based on my appetite explaining that she would organise a doggie bag for any uneaten food. I couldn't resist the tiger rolls and the goyza which was mentioned on TA. Some tuna maki and a glass of wine completed the meal. Fabulous. Left a little room for the green tea creme brulee delish. Ordered a takeaway for the following day very reasonable meal at €48. Will be back.
