When I'm in need of a quick takeaway snack, I always opt for their delicious sausage rolls, particularly the ones with black pudding. However, the highlight of my visits is the friendly conversations I have with the staff. In particular, Monija always brings a smile to my face and Dylan and I have some enjoyable banter. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area to try their coffee. While I can't speak to all of their food options, they certainly look appetizing.
This review is for the Serpentine Avenue cafe, in Sandymount. First impressions as we all know, are so important. My first impression of this cafe on a Friday moring was grumpy and unwelcoming, very much bordering on rude. I actiually felt I was an inconvenience to them, especiially to the lady with the (sounded like a spannish) accent, but had a very nice homemade sausage roll there where there is plenty of seating and complimentary newspapers. Also a bench of seating for singletons, as I was on the day in question. My flat white coffee tasted delicious, but was served in a glass PLEASE, no more of that abomination cups all the way when it comes to coffee, thank you. If you can serve it in a glass, you can serve it in a cup. If I 'd gotten a friendly hello and 30 seconds of welcoming banter, i 'd have given 5*. Maybe next time, we 'll see, The great thing about Dublin is that bad service can be rewarded by going to one of the many hundreds of other cafes in the city and 'burbs. On leaving, the younger assistant was most pleasant, but the damage was already done and I left bowed of head and not feeling all that great about myself. Overall, its a very nice deli with seating so do give it a try as you may visit on a day when the friendly shift is on!
As I strolled into the city centre, I was in search of a cozy spot to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee and breakfast. The menu displayed on the window immediately caught my eye, and the delightful variety of food inside the restaurant only added to my excitement. I decided to order the Irish full breakfast and a café latte, which turned out to be absolutely delicious. The entire ambience of the restaurant was charming, with its inviting furniture making me feel like I was having breakfast in my grandmother's kitchen. I enjoyed the experience so much that I intentionally returned the next morning for breakfast once again. This time, I tried the breakfast baguette and a vegetarian banana cake, and they were both fantastic. If only this restaurant were closer to my home, I would surely become a regular customer. Kudos to the staff for their great work!
I went to this cafe today (Sunday), a place I have been to many times before. The female cashier with blonde hair was unfriendly, rude, and spoke in a mumbled manner throughout the entire interaction. The barista was not much better. The staff seemed unhappy and unapproachable in their roles, which did not make for a welcoming atmosphere. Fortunately, the coffee was good.
I 'm working on a construction site right next to this store so basically I visit on a daily basis this store. This staff is always happy, they function as a small family, very friendly, helpful and patient. There 's one guy that has an excellent vibe and he always greets me with warmest: Hello my brother... (long hair, awesome stash) Instant mood fixer, cute store, lovely salads, would definitely visit again and they never lack a smile. Guys stay awesome and owner pls appreciate what you have. I worked in hospitality for over 6 years and never sensed that kind of vibe in the workplace!
