The food was of high quality with the expected flavour (except for one party member's Tofu which lagged some marinade). Professional, quick and friendly staff in a location packed with original trinkets, masks and pictures. Over all very authentic and delicious!
Good seafood jjambbong (my husband argues it's one of the best) with a uniquely smokey undertone, like the food was put on a grill before it was thrown into the soup! Wherever I go, I'm pleasantly surprised to find that the traditional Bibimbap (mixed rice in a hot sizzling stone bowl) is just as it should be...comforting, familiar, and full of flavors. Good selection of banchan (side dishes), quick service, decent portions, and very reasonably priced! It was a great choice for our first dinner in Dublin.
I came here for dinner with a friend and had a seafood and soya soup dish which was quite spicy and hot, but really tasty and felt easy to digest as I find most spicy foods aren't. The place was pretty empty as we came a bit earlier than usual (around 6pm), so the service was very quick and efficient. We got a complementary seaweed salad (seemed like wakame in vinegar), kimchi and a small bowl of what tasted like miso soup which was nice. The soup dish I ordered came with a bowl of rice and costed me €10.90 which I think is very reasonable for a proper evening meal. It was steaming hot so I had to wait a while for it to cool down, but I can imagine this would be like heaven to eat in the winter when it's cold outside. The portions are big and the quality is good and fresh. My friend had udon noodle soup and she said it was really good too. The menu has a much smaller variety than it's competitor Kimchi on Parnell street, but they have the essentials of both Korean food as well as a Japanese dishes like teriyaki chicken, sushi and udon noodles. One nice thing that I noticed on their menu is that at the at back, there is a page telling customers that they are happy to cater for allergies and to inform them when ordering so they can properly advise you on what you can and can't eat. The atmosphere was pretty casual overall, like somewhere between restaurant and cafe, so it would make a great lunch or dinner spot. Overall, good quality reasonably priced Korean food in the centre of Dublin. Service: 4/5 Food:5/5 Price: 5/5 (especially when you consider the portions and quality) Atmosphere: 3/5
Food was ok spicy and flavoursome. Lots of meat little bit chewy. Staff were polite and helpful. The Korean Bento Box had a good mixture of different classic Korean dishes. Nice choice for anyone new to Korean food. Large portion very filling. Cheap and cheerful. However there are other Korean restaurants with better quality food in the same price bracket or cheaper. The individual gas BBQ set into table to cook had a fun novelty factor; however I don't think it added anything to taste of food. Overall a satisfactory dining experience.
This place is great. Had the steamed dumplings and fried dumplings. Both fantastic. For main we had chicken and prawns on the BBQ. Prawns were better than chicken. People beside us had spicy beef and it looked/smelt fantastic. Topped it off with 2 Japanese beers also very good. Can't wait for our next visit!
