Drysdale House Bed Breakfast

The thoughtful touches prepared by our host truly enhanced our stay. Cathie greeted us with delightful little treats, and the kitchenette was well-equipped with snacks, purified water, and tea and coffee-making facilities. We also had access to the fridge and more. The sitting room was filled with games, puzzles, and a variety of books. Our bedroom was private and included cozy robes for us to use. The ensuite bathroom had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay, including a spacious deep bath. When it was time for breakfast, Cathie patiently waited for us to signal that we were awake, allowing her to serve our meal hot and fresh. (Unfortunately, we didn’t get a photo of our delicious breakfast.) If you're planning to visit the Q Train, this is the ideal place to stay, conveniently located just a short walk from Drysdale Station.

The host was charming, the place was impeccably clean, the atmosphere was delightful, and the breakfast was fantastic.

We stayed at Drysdale House over the New Year period and the new owners, Ian and Cathie, definitely provided us with a five star experience. From the moment we arrived we were treated like old friends and were provided with lots of info about Drysdale and the surrounding areas, including cafes, restaurants, wineries, scenic drives, sporting facilities and, of course, the Q Train. We stayed in the Elizabeth room, which was quiet, very comfortable and spacious. The history of the cottage, plus sitting on the front verandah admiring the beautiful gardens really added to our holiday experience. We left feeling rested, relaxed and keen to return in the very near future. We would highly recommend Drysdale House as one of the premier places to stay on the Bellarine Peninsula.

Cathie and Ian were exceptional hosts—warm and welcoming, yet also respectful of our privacy. They have great local knowledge and provided us with plenty of helpful tips whenever we asked. I was really impressed by the attention to detail; they addressed all those little things that you often wish other BnBs would. The place felt very homey and was well-maintained. I loved that we could rent both bedrooms, making it feel like our own private home. It’s within walking distance of local shops and a pub (which serves delicious food, by the way). We were surrounded by wineries, and it was an easy drive to Geelong as well. We could hardly fit everything in during our three-day stay, and it's easy to see why this place is so popular!

Best place to stay on the Bellarine, bar none! Love it to bits!
