We made a pick-up order and were informed that it was about 2 hours before it was ready. No problem. When I showed up at the scheduled time, I said they didn't even start my order because the kitchen is secured. Again, I'm just not a problem. The server tells me they're calling me when he's ready, but it shouldn't be much longer. We're coming home and waiting. About an hour later, we'll get a call from an annoying employee asking if we'll ever pick up our food. It's ready for a while, she says. I almost lost it. Last meal we will eat from Ho-Ho Chinese Restaurant. Service: Take Meal Type: Dinner Price per person: CA$40–50 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
The Ho Hos restaurant in Dryden is fabulous. The food is amazing and the service was really good. I think the best things about Ho Hos are the atmosphere and that they offer a tasty selection of alternative food options that are vegan and wheat free. Their regular menu never fails to impress. It's delicious all the time. (Lunch for 2) March 7, 2023 Dietary restrictions: My lunch companion has food allergies and the wait staff was knowledgable about allergies and restrictions and helped us find many suitable options to ensure something delicious. Food was okay. Buffet was pricey. Only put out 2 orders per pan so they limit you. This was at dinner time on weekend. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$20–30
It used to be amazing years ago before Kovid. But no portions are smaller, they charge extra for chicken in chicken fried rice and extra for beef vegetables, but their competitor hong Kong house 't. Hong Kong house equal price, massive portions, chicken in the fried rice combos, beef in vegetables from there and they give an egg roll. I tried to tell them that their competitors have 3 blocks away identical combos, but they give more for the same or cheaper price. And all I got was that we've been longer, I guess I'll just be on the basis of the time they opened... Sorry, with inflation as it is, I want my money 's worth, and ho it is not, even my combos came with half the size of fried rice, no chicken in it and my vegetables were with cabbage and chicken and extremely greasy, my pork-lo-me, it was my favorite dish her, no Chinese restaurant in Canada can compare with Ho-ho Chinese restaurant Pork Lo-My. Oh and as for the service I waited about 10 minutes just to get my water when she fell from my meal she didn't bring me my chop sticks so after I had waited a while to ask them for my hack sticks, I had to stand up and go and she got her attention and she was busy talking to another waitress about her personal life to notice a customer and had to notice my own. It is a Chinese restaurant, it should be almost obligatory to ask if you like to hack sticks with your meal? But again the nice guy I am, I still have 15% or more...
