It took a while for them to get us a seat. The server we had was nice and checks on us once in a while. We ordered fish and chips and beef dip. The food was good serving was enough to make your tummy full. The potato bacon soup is just okay, but I won't be ordering it again next time. Though the beef dip and the fish and chips are good. The only thing we experienced kind of weird was when the server seems to be in a hurry for us to leave the place. As she told my husband that she can give him a take a way cup for his beer. My husband was a bit surprised as most if not all restaurants allow one to bring home their alcoholic drink. I am not sure whether we will go back here. It was an okay so-so experience for both of us.
We last visited in 2017 and gave O'Shea's a good review. This time was very much different. We three were seated fairly fast. Our server showed up quickly and dropped off menus. He returned and we ordered drinks, with an appy, and dinner. The drinks came quickly. The appy took about 15 min. At that point we had to ask for tableware and napkins! We ate and finished our appy (fried pickles). After another 25 min. the server said they were short staffed and apolgized for the wait. At 45 min. the server offered to refresh our drinks. We kept seeing others who arrived later being served! At 50 min. I told another wait staff we were leaving and I'd pay for our drinks. At 55 min., after no bill being presented, I told the wait staff on the floor we were leaving which we did without paying a cent. Overall a very disappointing and wasted evening.
My family and I were just in town and thought we would try out the restaurant ! We were sitting in the waiting area waiting for the waiter to come over after he was at the table near the door. 10 minutes has passed and 3 people walked in and were seated immediately. My 5 year old had said out loud, mom we were here first, I just said yeah we were actually here first and that was ignored by the server and the 3 people who walked in! Bps get our business again would not recommend O sheas!
Typical Irish Pub dark wood and dark lighting. Very nice and friendly waitress. Serves Guinness, which is always on my husbands list. Other beer choices including a few from the local brewery, Valley Brewing. Food was ok. Hamburger was a little bizarre it literally had been lifted from the packet with the texture still from the extruded/grinder. The fries were fantastic. Nothing wrong with our experience just not great.
It was just an okay experience. The food was okay (not great), the service was okay (better training is required). Next time I'm in Drumheller, I'll try another restaurant. I like to go to restaurants where the experience was memorable.
