We asked the beer tender for recommendations to enhance our two flight choices, and she suggested my new favorite, Bee Bunny. This farmhouse ale is brewed with figs and carrots and offers a wonderfully balanced flavor—so delicious! Other favorites included the Hamilton Pale, an American pale ale (and a find at your local HEB!) and the Two Headed Dog, a double IPA. Both beers have a deep golden, slightly amber hue. If you prefer dark beers, I recommend The Grackle, their Hill Country Imperial Stout. It’s a thick, rich dessert beer with a delightful kick, perfect to enjoy by a roaring fire this winter. Don’t miss their seasonal Marzen lager, currently available for Oktoberfest. The brewery is set on a stunning property with a winding, twinkling light-filled picnic area, making it ideal for gatherings where you can bring your dogs or children. There’s even a large playset on-site to keep the kids entertained while you sip your drink just a few feet away. On the day of my visit, there was a guitarist performing on the back patio, which added to the lovely outdoor ambiance. I’m eager to return in the evening, as I'm sure it will be just as beautiful! They also offer beer to-go in six-packs, and you can purchase or refill a growler while you’re there. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a chance to try anything from their Family Business Pizza food truck, but that just gives us another reason to come back and enjoy more beers!
I joined my mom on a business trip just to visit this brewery, and while I'm disappointed to say the beer was rather forgettable, the surroundings and the pizza were fantastic! As a big fan of Supernatural, I couldn't resist buying some merchandise—my t-shirt is great, but the zip-up hoodie fits a bit oddly (no regrets, though!). We coincidentally visited on a weekend when fans brought their replica Supernatural vehicles, which made the experience truly special. One of the guys even let me sit in his wife’s Impala and helped me take some photos, plus he opened the trunk to show me all their signed memorabilia. I ended up missing The Radio Company’s performance shortly after, but seeing the cars was so much fun—honestly, if they hadn’t been there, this place wouldn’t have been anything extraordinary (it's quite a journey to get there!). On the bright side, the pizza was delicious, and I was thrilled to find they offered vegan cheese!
I visited for the eclipse and I’m really glad I did. I thoroughly enjoyed the stouts. The EasyBake was a fantastic dessert to top off a wonderful day. The Wayward Sun cleared the clouds from the umbra just when we needed it. Overall, it was an excellent day at a fantastic establishment.
I finally got the chance to check out another brewery that's been on my to-try list! Recently, Steve and I sampled the IPA called Super Juice, and we really enjoyed it. This IPA is quite solid and refreshingly good, which is always a plus. Its flavor profile is juicy, hoppy, dank, and slightly acidic, all wrapped up in a smooth body that's a pleasure to drink. While it doesn't stray too far from typical IPAs, the way it sits on the tongue is notably more refreshing than many others. As I mentioned, that's definitely a good thing!
This brewery is fantastic! They offer a great variety of beers, and the pizzas were absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and very helpful with their beer recommendations. There’s ample seating both indoors and outdoors. On the day we visited, a father and daughter team was playing some wonderful music.
