We tried some usual favorites: Bread Basket, with garlic naan, paneer kulcha, onion kulcha and pashwari naan (sweet). Still eating this a few days later. Chicken Saag Chicken pieces in creamy spinach. Delicious, we had it mild. Palak paneer Cheese cubes in creamy spinach. Also ordered mild. Service was quick and they called me when ready to pick up. No dine in service yet, just take out. Convenient to PNC Bank if you're looking for it in Drexeline Shopping Center.
I used to get take-out from here once a week before I moved a few years ago! Now my husband and I are back in Drexel Hill and we frequent this restaurant quite a bit and I'm not complaining about that. Their buffet is always fresh and never disappoints! Friendly staff and I have to say again that their food is amazing. Side note: Great gluten free options and vegan options too! Also, they use cloth napkins which is great for cutting down waste (which I really appreciated)
Last night my friends and I ordered takeout from Share-E-Punjab. We got the Lamb Sambusas, Lamb Vindaloo, Lamb Korma, and Chicken Makhani with Garlic Naan and Peshwari Naan. Overall the food was pretty good. I didn't get to try the sambusas or garlic naan, but everything else I had was tasty. I've had much more flavorful korma in the past, and the lamb vindaloo did not have enough lamb in it, but I'm nitpicking and explaining my four stars over five. It was good, but not outstanding, and would absolutely order all three main dishes and the peshwari naan again.
What a wonderful restaurant I found on Yelp. The food I got to eat with my work colleague at Shere-E-Punjab was most excellent. My work colleague was originally from Punjab India and suggested I find a good Indian restaurant and it wasn't disappointing one bit. Patty was our server and she did an excellent Job. I haven't hand Indian food in over 15 years and this place was great. Friendly owner and staff. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that loves Indian food or wants to try some good flavor food. Good job Shere-E-Punjab. : I will definitely be back next time I'm in the Philly area.
I came with a big group of friends for someone's birthday a while ago and we all got the lunch buffet. I was worried my options would be limited here because I'm lactose sensitive, but I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of the menu options without dairy and it was definitely a good value. I'm so glad our friends introduced us to this place, because I don't eat Indian food often and I rarely go to buffets...but I'll definitely be back now that this is on my radar!
