Anthony's Banquet Center - Drexel Hill

Must start with saying I am an long standing customer of Anthony's, love love the food...BUT, they moved to a new location and was very disappointed in my visit there. Didn't have great service (and our waiter has worked for Anthony's for some time) wasn't offered sides with dinner or got my drink replenished, loud staff, had to wait with a reservation (but a young couple walked in and appeared to be friends with someone and got seated right away). Still love the food and will try it again because of that, but they really need to work out the kinks in their new location

Amazing and Extremely Customer Focused with Great Food. I truly cannot day enough about how well the staff, and especially Pat and Roger did for us the other day for our banquet. It was a funeral luncheon, and every single employees wished us condolences for our loss. Everyone was extremely friendly always asking What else do you need, or Can we get you anything? The food was premium with amazing taste and temperature and there was plenty of it. While the food was great, the customer service was far and away some of the best I have ever experienced. The price was beyond reasonable and my family and I could tell it was far more important to the staff that our experience was positive and that we were taken care of than anything else. You have a customer for life and while it was a difficult day, our experience at Anthony 's was incredibly special. I truly hope Pat and Roger get recognized for their exemplary performance and attention to the customers, even though we all felt more like family than customers. Thank You Anthony 's and I 'm looking forward to coming back for dinner with my family soon!

As usual, Anthony's never disappoints! This is by far my favorite restaurant. Food is nothing short of AMAZING and staff could not be nicer or more accommodating. Enjoyed the large cold seafood appetizer which was super fresh and very reasonably priced! Bronzino with escarole and beans was DELISH. Throughout Covid we ordered take out, dined in ...and enjoyed Anthony's in Sea Isle. It's always consistent. If you have not been there recently.... head over. You won't be sorry.

Having moved to the area recently, bf and I were curious to try what seems to be a neighborhood staple. We were underwhelmed. The space itself looks like it hasn't been touched for decades very dark, very outdated. The cocktails we ordered were pretty awful we agreed this is definitely a place to order wine instead. The bread and peppers were the one good part of the meal. My boyfriend's chicken parm was ok but very under seasoned, as were my gnocchi which came in the same bland red sauce. Our waiter was perfectly friendly and polite, but spent a large percentage of our meal talking to us, when we would have been happy to have had a date to ourselves. The teens working the water refilling and table clearing seemed obviously annoyed to be there. I hate to write a negative review but I genuinely don't get the appeal other than neighborhood sentimentality, and hope to see some more exciting options show up where I'd be more likely to spend what Anthony's is charging.

Meanwhile, the waiter was sitting at the bar chatting instead of being attentive. I believe that even if things are slow, staff should find something to do or at least pretend to be busy! After about four minutes, he finally came over and asked if I wanted my pizza boxed up. I declined, reminding him that I had asked for it to be burnt, which he failed to do. By that point, I had lost my appetite. As for the food, the clam casino was mediocre, but the pasta with peas was good. I didn’t receive a refill on my water glass, so thankfully I had a water bottle in my purse to get by.
