Great location, nice service and amazing decor that gives an authentic atmosphere. food was good but I’d expect excellent for the price

This restaurant was by far the best among all other restaurants I had a dinner in during my 2-week vacation in Nuremberg, Dresden, Prague Vienna. It is very traditional, has amazing atmosphere, very friendly staff, tasty food, everything is more than perfect. Should not be missed whenever visiting Dresden.

Very nice place. Gorgeous, medieval style atmosphere, nice and finny personnel, and proper traditional German food and drinks. Absolutely recommended if you aŕe in Dresden. The service was a bit slow, but the place was quite crowded, and it's recommended to reserve a table in advance.

The moment I entered the restaurant I was amazed by the decoration. There are plenty of medieval decoration in the restaurant. (Bomb style candle, table with instrument of torture, swords…and even carousel) Food on average and I’m happy with it. However, I do feel racist dining in there. I cannot speak German, but have been living in Europe for couple of years, and also been to German so many times, so ain’t fragile. I can feel the waiter is so much happier when they talk to other ppl, and how impatient when he is with us (even when we are only try to order food)

Following a recommendation from a colleague and using a friend's visit and wish to see Dresden as an excuse, we made a reservation for 3 pm today. We arrived a tad early but it was no issue and we were seated in a manner of minutes. The service was very friendly and quick, the home baked bread with butter for starters was delicious, the main courses took a while to arrive but boy were they good (and made to order)! Will definitely visit again! Also, the whole design of the place is rustic and fun and the first thing you see when entering is staff making dough which filled the air with a nice scent!
