Sweet Lake Biscuits And Limade - Draper

I visit this place often for their biscuits, which I really enjoy. However, I'm posting a negative review today because I ordered takeout and had to wait an extra half hour beyond the expected pickup time. When I finally received my order and got to my car, everything was ice cold. I'm confused—if my food was ready and hot long before I arrived, why wasn't it given to me? Where was it for that half hour while I was waiting and it cooled down? I'm pretty frustrated about this.

This charming breakfast spot features a friendly staff and offers excellent coffee and food! I do want to mention that the quinoa hash contains spinach; one of my companions had a spinach intolerance, but the menu didn't list the ingredients. As for vegetarian options, the menu has a wonderful selection!

I was really excited to try the food from this restaurant due to its great reputation. Unfortunately, my recent experience was disappointing. The taste and quality of the food did not meet my expectations, and the packaging was equally unsatisfactory. Instead of being placed in appropriate containers, the food was just tossed into boxes, which greatly impacted its presentation and overall appeal. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback to heart and makes the necessary improvements for future customers.

Update 4/14/23 service has gone way way down. The hostess was extremely rude upon arrival. Server didn 't acknowledge us for 20 minutes while we waited for water/drinks. Then another 20 min to get take our order. We asked for the check after we 'd been there almost 90 minutes. Took her another 30 to get it to us. In total, a weekday breakfast took over two hours. She basically ignored us, and we tried to fill our own water and hunt down butter and jams. Food was decent. Can 't say I want to go back after this terrible experience. It breaks my heart but I DO NOT recommend Sweet Lake.Previous visits in 2022:Cute local joint with a great menu and good (not exceptional but good) service. The biscuits and gravy were a little too onion-y, in case that 's your thing. I preferred the Roger , although nothing fancy it hit the spot. The Bread Pudding French toast was just ok, too heavy, thick and gloppy. Fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee from a local roaster, and in-house hot sauce. I 'm super impressed! I 've been twice in the last two weeks.

I’ve only been twice to this location. The first time was really good, but this time I was a bit surprised. I brought a friend from out of town. The AC wasn’t working; noticed right away. It was very hot in there, but we were short on time so we decided to go ahead and stay. I ordered the sliders they were OK just extremely greasy and the bread was hard. The service was as good as it could be for how hot it was in there. I was a little surprised they were continuing to let customers in without any AC on such a hot day. Neither of us ate very much, and we had to ask the waiter several times for napkins and water. The raspberry limeade was good, it was just very full so it spilled on the table and was sticky. And it wasn’t very cold. I think maybe it was an off day but between the heat and the mediocre food, just not sure I’d take a friend here from out of town.
