Fong's Fine Chinese Dining - Draper

Heartbreak at Fong's. I had one of the worst culinary experiences of my life at this restaurant. The dishes lack depth, and you can see how the chef cuts corners to save money. The wait staff is horrible, lacking knowledge of dishes and concern for their patrons. There was no consistency with service, as in my appetizers came out minutes apart (after a minute wait in which we were the only family in the restaurant). I ordered the General Tso's chicken, which they advertised as spicy on the menu, and it was sicky sweet. The orange chicken tasted like it was dipped in corn syrup and thrown on the plate. The children ordered chicken nuggets (as kids are wont to do), and their dishes came out about minutes after the adult dishes. After talking to the manager, I decided I would not go back. He looked at me as though I were a problem as opposed to a customer. Bad experience! I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! Bottom line: This place is horrible! There are other options available within a few miles.

Disappointment. I wanted to like this place. I just moved to Draper and am looking for a good Chinese restaurant. This is not it. Food just lacked flavor. The staff was uninterested.

A favorite of ours.. We love the friendly service here. The owner tries to get around and make you feel part of the family. The food here never disappoints and we especially like the Mandarin Chicken or the Pork Noodle soup. The prices are very reasonable, especially at lunch. So many favorite dishes here there are too many to name.

Love their sweet and sour chicken. They serve delicious chicken cuts with the exception of the sesame chicken not really a fan of that one. Great for dine in and a quick take out (faster than pizza)!
