Apollo Burger - Draper

Wow …had a Wonderful lunch. Had the Apollo Burger Combo with Onion Rings. Fantastic pastrami on my burger with melted cheese. Topped with lettuce tomatoes and special sauce. Onion Rings are the best, nice crunch with tender onions. French Fries came hot and crunchy. Just the way the should. Everything is made to order so it comes fresh. We easy to see from the street with easy access.

We arrived at 5:50 and placed our order. At the time there were only two tables that had people sitting in them and two small groups ordering in front of us. We placed our order (family of four) around 5:55 and took our number to our seats. After 15 minutes I started noticing that people coming in and ordering after us were getting their orders. I started watching closer and after several more groups got their orders I tried to ask one of the employees about our order. She just shrugged me off, didn’t respond or acknowledge me and moved on to the next order. Several other patrons even apologized to me when their orders came up knowing we had been waiting so long. Finally at 6:35 they called our number, the food was ready, the shakes were missing. I asked when the ice cream would be ready, to which I got a very snarky “they’re coming”. 3-4 minutes later the shakes were pushed at me over the counter. No apology for the crazy long delay. No “thanks for your patience”. The food was pretty good. The service has made it so that we will never come back again.

Location is gross and poor food. Looking run down and in need of a face lift. Ordered two shakes, both were runny about like buttermilk, did not need a spoon for the shake only needed a straw, purchased two medium shakes, about 1/2 was whipped cream, $3-5 for one scoop of ice cream!! Simply disappointed in the quality of the food.

This restaurant was our second choice since our first choice has an hour wait. I should have known what to expect with the sign on the door saying basically please be patient due to the labor shortage. First off there was no line and the restaurant was nearly empty and there were at least 6 people behind the counter. We typically love these Greek burger chains and went out of our way to go to Apollo Burger over Astro burger, because I like that they don't shred their lettuce. We placed our order and tried to find a clean table. Nearly every table and/or seats in the restaurant was dirty. I think out of 36 or so tables only 2 or 3 were occupied and they were all dirty. We finally thought we found a reasonably clean table and when we approached it we discovered why, the seat was broken (see picture). When we finally settled on a less dirty table and our order was called my wife found that her burger was burned to the point that it wasn't edible. I got the Apollo Burger and it was good even though the pastrami was cold. I got the onion rings even though I had a vague memory that they weren't very good and my memory was right. Onion rings taste like they were frozen with very bland breading. I will remember next time not to get the onion rings. The fries are always good here and they didn't disappoint. They only had prepackaged fry sauce and for me it is not as good as the stuff they normally serve This was probably the worst experience I have had dinning out in recent memory. This experience definitely merited 1 star, but because I have been here when it has been good I will give it 2 stars. Furthermore the place did not seem understaffed, especially based on the number of customers, and they really had no excuse that the place was so dirty.

I loved Apollo and usually their service is great but this location is super disappointing. Literally every single time I’ve come here (because I live close) I ask for extra well done I always get a super pink burger. Super disappointing for the price of a meal. I get a few bites in can’t eat it anymore. There is no way that’s cooked to state standard of 165 degrees.
