Kyoto Japanese Sushi - Downers Grove

Fantastic sushi! The atmosphere is lovely—clean and welcoming, with friendly staff. They offer a comprehensive menu that includes sushi, Chinese, and Japanese dishes, along with a full bar featuring a variety of sakes. We indulged in sushi, and it was outstanding—fresh and beautifully presented. My favorites were definitely the dynamite roll (a must-try—I had about seven!) and the cucumber roll, which was incredibly delicious. We also sampled the flaming snowmaki, as well as tuna, salmon, hamachi, and fluke sushi. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the prices were very reasonable; we paid much less than at our usual sushi spot (Chef Soon), and the quality was superior here. Approximately 90% of their reviews are 4 to 5 stars, which is why we chose Kyoto. I can't wait to return!

Amazing food! I'm a huge fan of the sesame chicken! I usually request it with extra rice instead of the soup. I've visited this place at least a dozen times, and the quality has always been consistently excellent.

I had a great experience with the sushi, but we were quite skeptical about the entrée we ordered. My husband opted for the orange chicken since he isn’t a big sushi fan. It arrived promptly and was warm on the outside, but still cool on the inside, just like the broccoli. We have a strong suspicion that it was a frozen PF Chang's dish that had been microwaved, as we've had their orange chicken before. While I thoroughly enjoyed my sushi, the ambiance, and everything else, I must say I was disappointed that we chose this restaurant and ended up paying extra for what was essentially a frozen meal.

This was my first time at this particular sushi place and I was pleasantly please when my waitress heated up my 'Hot Sexy Mama roll, which was their house special. It was very tasty. I look forward to going again.

Outrageously delicious food. Talented and original dishes-sushi masters! Quiet, romantic, fun. Great drinks. Medium priced, good value. This is one of the best sushi restaurants I've experienced. We will be back again and again.
