Docs Fish/chips Cafe - Down

Paid for a ‘large’ chips and cannot work out what on earth is large about it. It’s clearly a ‘normal’ portion of chips with a ‘large’ price tag. The Doc’s in Ardglass is much better and so are other places in Downpatrick. Disappointed.

Unable to get an order correct. Food is thrown together and of poor quality. The container for the curry had spilled over everything else as it wasn’t closed correctly. Chips tasted stale and not cooked properly, and the fish is rotten. Chicken is rubbery, and you only get a few pieces. Overpriced for what it is. They need to pay attention to what they’re doing instead of messing about, maybe they’d get orders right then. No onions, then they had tons of onions. Charged 50p for a bit of cheese we didn’t even ask for!! Baps were stale and the burgers were tasteless. Absolutely disgusting. Manager couldn’t have cared less when we rang him.

I will not return to this restaurant because the chips and Southern fried chicken fillet burger were cold, and the bap was not toasted.

Very tasty fish and chips. Will revisit. Lots of choice on their menu. Takeaway as well as a sit-in.

Excellent chippy popular with the locals. Now with a facility for eating in.
