The pool was really cold, but some kids tolerated it. It's disappointing to have an indoor pool that isn't heated. The hot tub was nice and relaxing. The gym was standard, but it had regular equipment, weights, and water, so it sufficed for what I needed. The breakfast was pretty good and included in the stay. It has a good assortment of eggs, breakfast meats, oatmeal, pastries, and fruits. For a hotel breakfast, it was solid with some good health and some not as healthy options. It's worth it to save money on going on out for breakfast. Overall, a good stay, especially if a suite is what you need.
Ambassador Elite member at Marriott (over 1200+ stays in 37 year member of Marriott benefits programs, now BonVoy) I 've never encountered a more incompetent staff than this hotel 's personnel. Multiple complaints about the room (shower head broken, tub didn 't drain/backed up with muck coming back into the tub; toaster broken) which went unresolved (they fixed the drain but left me a note telling me the microwave seemed to work fine ; went back to explain the misunderstanding regarding toaster and shower head still not resolved after 18 hours). Every time I 've come to explain my challenge, the initial and strong response I get is its not my fault without a pivot to how they can help me other than they 'll look into it . I had asked to have my room cleaned every day without fail, only to come back to room 3x throughout the day to find it not cleaned; went to complain to front desk and I encountered a hostile desk rep (young man, glasses, hipster beard) who refused to give me his name and told me b/c of COVID he couldn 't help me). Cumulating with the final embarrassment threat of expelling me from property because I asked to speak to a manager (he said he was the manager) and when I asked for his name he refused to vie me his name. He continued to threaten me with throwing me out of the property and told me to sit down and he 'd get to me when he was good and ready . I called the Ambassador hotline at 402 548 9598 but after 10+ min of music, nobody answered.
Everything was great with one exception. No AC in the gym. If you use the gym call first to see if it's been fixed.
I have stayed on this hotel a couple of times before and found it very welcoming for someone traveling with a pet. This time however upon arrival with my pet I was informed of a $150 non refundable pet fee. I was frustrated, but after having traveled 6 hours with a howling cat we were both happy to be out of the car. I was using points and they were gracious to upgrade to a suite so at least I was just paying what I normally would have been paying. Found room clean , but then went to turn down bed to sheets that you could literally see through to a stained mattress. Not very welcoming Definitely not the same under new management!!
Nice, comfortable stay. We stayed twice in one week, to and from our trip to Vermont. We especially liked the kitchen area with full-sized refrigerator, since we travel with lots of soft drinks and snacks. The staff was very friendly and helpful, too.
