The Royal Oak - Dover

What a lovely place this is! We stopped last night for a meal, a few drinks and a few games of pool. Everyone was so friendly and kind. Ken, the landlord was lovely and Dan, the chef, came out to show us the fresh fish he had caught that day. The menu was simple but sufficient and the meals were delicious and very reasonably priced. It was a real find and we’ll definitely be back. .

This is a little gem of a local pub the landlord is so friendly as so are the locals food is cooked fresh to order and very reasonable price great atmosphere and well worth a visit

Unbelievably good food at unbelievably good price. Staff fantastic and must be the best pub food for quality and price I have ever experienced.

Came for lunch without booking, it was very busy but space in the bar was found which was fine. A lovely traditional home cooked menu available. For price £3.75 wondered about quality but the roast pork with 5 different veggies alongside and Steak and veg pie were lovely. A buzzing friendly atmosphere.

We are staying nearby and read the good reviews so decided to give it a try here. Friendly greeting and service, food was homemade and delicious. Excellent value for money too.
