Everyday People Cafe - Douglas

Everyday People Cafe is such a gem in West Michigan. Everything we have eaten has been outstanding, thoughtful, well seasoned and consistent. I told my partner it feels as if you’re having dinner at someone’s home that is an outstanding cook and I mean that in the best way. It’s real food, done really well. The cocktails are lovely, and the wine list is stellar. Matt, the owner, is one of the most genuine and thoughtful folks I’ve met in the restaurant business. He genuinely cares about each guest and their experience. I can’t recommend it this spot enough!

Place is nice right in downtown area. Brunch was great. And it was at 11:00 despite what GMaps says : . Would be perfect if the hostess was a little more friendly and comunicative.

Kind and understanding service. In the heart of the lgbtq community, having a family with a couple young kids, we felt welcome. The food was your typical gourmet affair. Atmosphere was loud and friendly. Roasted chicken was tasty and astute. The cosmos packed a punch.

Everyday People Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Great food, great service, great location. If going for dinner, start with some cocktails, then go for the tuna appetizer, and I personally like the pork chop as a main. They are frequently changing innovating their menu. I really like their wine list, some good value priced bottles, and also some nicer bottles to splurge. They also have a great brunch on Sundays, can't miss. They are GREAT at following COVID protocols.

Sophisticated but palatable food. Good service and nice atmosphere. However, the chairs outside are painfully cheap and uncomfortable. Hoping they can upgrade their seating soon given the upscale atmosphere.
