Dante's Pizza - Dothan

Since it was in the shopping center, it's better than before. our din in order took awhile to go for all the orders, but the pizza was worth waiting.

Half of our group included young children, and the most curious little one caught the chef's attention. (I think it was Chef Dante himself!) He took the time to show our young one how pizza is made, even providing small pieces of dough for all the kids. It felt just like being in an Italian kitchen on a Sunday night; the atmosphere was so inviting! The chef’s son had come in to help with closing, and despite being the last group there, they never made us feel unwelcome. We overheard him explaining the dishes to the staff, which turned into a delightful lesson for us! Now, about the food—it was absolutely delicious! The crust was thin yet light, airy, and perfectly crispy. Each large, foldable slice was a delight to fill with toppings. The sauce was bright and tangy, providing a warm base for the toppings and cheese. We ordered the meat lover's pizza, and it certainly lived up to its name—loaded with thin, generously layered meat. The cheese was savory and wonderfully gooey. You can tell they don't skimp on quality ingredients. You can genuinely feel the love and joy that goes into making these pizzas. This place is definitely one we will return to!

Everything was cold! I said an hour after 45 minutes, and still wait. The girl in the front did not take my order right, and gave me something to someone else..leaving the pizza and the pizza fries and I say plural only because there is more than one, but literally maybe 20 fries when the...first time there and not impressed!! This isn't even all that happened, but I don't want to waste more time on this post.

Update: I’ve changed my rating from 3 stars to 4. I dined in last week, and the pizza was much better than before! I asked for a little less cheese, but they still seemed a bit stingy with it. Next time, I'll ask for even lighter cheese.

Great family owned pizzeria! The pizza and pastas are excellent!!! You gotta try the calzones!!!! Everything is made fresh daily! Highly recommend!!
