The atmosphere was wonderful, and the staff were extremely friendly. We visited for dinner, and it felt like some of the food had been left over from lunch and was rather tough. The rolls, in particular, were as hard as hockey pucks. If I decide to give it another shot, I'll stick to lunch next time.

I arrived after regular lunch hours, and the food had clearly been sitting out for a while. Most of it looked and tasted like it came from a can. However, I have to say that the cabbage was excellent and could have been a meal in itself. The portion sizes were smaller than I expected for a cafeteria-style restaurant. The hamburger steak was dried out, as were the onions on top, and the gravy tasted like it came straight from a jar. The mac and cheese was rather bland. On a positive note, the apple cobbler was hot and flavorful, and the young lady who brought my tea refills was very friendly and engaging. Overall, I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.

I had lunch here on a Sunday, and the restaurant was reasonably clean with friendly staff. Our waitress was pleasant. The food was good, but nothing really stood out as particularly remarkable.

I used to order regularly, but most times I go by and the staff is drinking and smoking on the front benches, so we no longer order from here. I used to work in restaurants almost 30 years ago and they wouldn't allow us to be drunk or smoking in front of all the customers. The food used to be good.. But we are done with this place. Edited to exclude 1 pt .. And the food was good.

Dinner was sub par...food is a little bland for Southern type cooking. Also cafeteria style service, if you're looking for a sit down place to enjoy this is not quite the one.
