Osteria Enoteca San Barnaba

Stumbled into a very nice restaurant while getting lost with my wife in Venice. The ambiance, and the staff were great. After numerous meals of pasta, I was desiring something simple. I ordered the vegetable soup, while my wife chose the fettuccine with scallops and a pistachio pesto sauce. The vegetable soup did not have a tomato base as I have been used to, however it was delicious and was loaded with vegetables. The fettuccine also was an interesting twist from the standard basil pesto sauces I've been accustomed to, yet it also was delicious.

Truly great food. Very family friendly. Great menu. I wish we had found this place earlier.

Walked long distance to find this place. After sitting down the waiter told us they do not accept credit card!

We are thrilled that we found this restaurant for our one night stay in Venice. The service was delightful, attentive and we felt most welcome. The food was delicious- tried a variety of dishes from octopus salad, pasta and lamb together with a light local wine. Recommend !

This restaurant had delicious food complimented by a very friendly waitstaff. I had the mussels and clams followed by a delicious ravioli stuffed with sea bass (although it was a little light on the amount of sea bass). Their wine menu offers a decent variety of options and the chocolate cake was a tasty dessert.
