My wife had the fish and spicy sauce with couscous which she also loved. We also shared the greek salad and fried artichokes as well as a bottle of chianti which we enjoyed. Staff was very attentive and courteous. Overall, was one of our best meals during our Italy trip.
I loved this place so much I went there twice in one day. The waiter was so attentive and pleasant which was very refreshing. The food was excellent. In the morning I had a very good café latte plus some delicious homemade cookies. For lunch I came back and had a wonderful salad with strawberries, avocado, tomatoes and walnuts. The best part, however, was dessert. I ordered worm cake which was like a warm chocolate lava cake with whipped cream. Yummy. Prices are reasonable and this was such a refreshing change from all the other restaurants in Venice. It was quiet, cozy and had five star service and food. Highly recommended!
We enjoyed the outdoor seating by the canal, not quite a garden but the bonsai and other plants offered a charming vibe. We were there during Passover, so there was no pasta, but the rest of the menu was also great. We had the eggplant parmesan and the lasagna, and both were delicious.
In summer 2017, we tried to eat there. I brought 30 persons with me, and the service and food were acceptable. So, in summer 2018, we reserved for 30 persons again for welcoming party. I'm not sure what happened, but the service was poor and rude, the food was uneatable, the wait between course was extremely long. In fact, between 3rd to 4th courses, we had to wait more than 1 hour, and many of the guests were literally falling asleep, and when the 4th course arrived, it was uneatable. I began to wonder if there was an intentional treatment, but I am not sure the reason for that. I can only guess, but I will keep it to myself. It was beyond acceptable in term of the kind of treatment and the quality food they served us. No customer deserves to be treated that way. We spent quite a bit of money by bringing 30 customers to that restaurant. So, don't even consider going there. There are so many other interesting and delicious restaurants around Venice. If kosher is the only reason to go there, there are other kosher restaurants I found around Venice. Or, maybe try other restaurants in the ghetto, but definitely not this one.
