Albergo San Marco

Although the location is very close to the center of the square, some rooms have a strong musty smell mixed with citrus aromatics, which is equivalent to the smell of moldy oranges spreading in the room. IT IS A HOSTEL WITH AN EXCELLENT LOCATION. IT'S A LITTLE OLD. THE COST WAS APPROXIMATELY 95 EUROS PER NIGHT. FROM MY PERSPECTIVE IT IS A LITTLE EXPENSIVE I SUPPOSE BECAUSE OF THE LOCATION IT IS WORTH IT. AND THE ATTENTION OF THE STAFF IS EXCELLENT. Rooms: 3 Service: 4 Location: 5

Great location, just a stones throw from San Marco's square. There's a super market really close by in case you run out of essentials. Also great gelato, shopping and restaurants. The staff was really friendly and room was golden ️ highly recommend it Rooms: Room is perfect size. Walkability: Walking distance of everything you need. This hotel does NOT deserve 3* and even less the ratings on the various booking sites. We chose it based on its rating and its location, however if we had known about the discomfort, we would never have booked in this hotel, even if it meant walking a little further to visit the San Marco district. Negative points : upon check in, the reception assigned us a room in another hotel (Ambassador Tre Rose) 20 m away, we realized that it was not the same hotel, so they had to assign us a room at the Albergo (it’s already starting out very badly, waste of time) very atypical and very old fashioned decoration, after each their own tastes but in my opinion, a complete renovation would be good...the walls are stained. Very poor quality bedding, with two single beds pushed together, a good old fashioned blanket, horrible bed linen. Bedroom floor not straight with a difference in level of around 20 cm, so the bed is sloping!!! it's super comfortable (joke)... The window panes are plastic and seamless, you can hear the whole street and they vibrate with every movement in the room. The rooms are not soundproofed at all, and it's good to think that the headboard is located towards the neighbor's bathroom, I loved hearing him take his bed and sing at 2am. Creepy, but when you walk in the room, all the windows shake. Very noisy split heating Tiny bathroom, limit if you can't take a shower in the toilet, Shower without pressure and wait 5 10 minutes for hot water, I don't know the electrical standards in Italy, but in France, it would be unthinkable, there are electrical trunking in the shower... Wifi slower than 4G mini bar price €3 per bottle of water, there is a supermarket 5m from the hotel where this same bottle costs €0.60... Good points : its location, 10 meters from San Marco Square, condole service at the foot of the hotel, keeps the suitcases (before check in and after check out), pleasant and smiling staff Rooms: 1 Service: 2 Location: 4
