You can enjoy a pot of premium tea to share, customize your own tea with various toppings and options, or indulge in a dessert. They really pay attention to the presentation. My wife enjoys discovering unique Taiwanese experiences in the area, and THF is certainly a place we plan to visit regularly!
Ambience: more from your modern, aesthetically appealing tea house with wooden furniture and porcelain pots and pots. Perfect place to study with friends or yourself to have a nice stop for a date, or just a beautiful hangout spot. Price: A teapot (about 4 cups) is $9.95, but it includes a free refill, snacks and cane sugar cubes on the side! Recommendation: I only had the pleasure of having their Pearl of Fruits Black Tea. It is incredibly fragrant with a mixture of different fruity flavors; I would recommend drinking it if you have a cold or if you need something refreshing. Since it has fruity tones to it, I do not think you need additional sugar in it, but the cubes are provided with the pot!
I really enjoyed the atmosphere here—the lighting, the seating, everything felt so cozy. Plus, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic! My friends offered plenty of compliments about the dishes. We tried the Taiyoki, which is a fish-shaped bread filled with red bean paste. They were delicious and made for a perfect snack. We also ordered a teafloat with ice and a four-season milk tea. I didn't get to try the teafloat, but it seemed like a hit with my friend, who was busy enjoying it. As for the four-season tea, it wasn't overly sweet and was refreshing even in the heat; definitely not the typical milk tea made from powder. Overall, I would definitely return, especially for a hangout. I noticed some people studying there, which could be great, but I must admit it was a bit loud if you want to focus. So, bringing headphones would be a smart idea.
I truly admire how this establishment focuses on Taiwanese-themed teas and does so with such excellence. It opened in October 2016, and I regret that it has taken me this long to visit. The real standout feature here, compared to other bubble tea shops in Atlanta, is the atmosphere. While the prices are similar, Tea House Formosa leans towards the higher end. Unlike its competitors, this place offers several semi-private booths along the back wall, adding to its charm. The wooden decor is also stunning—worth a visit in itself.
The tea drinks are delicious. We made it in time to get the bento boxes for lunch and everything was seasoned so good- best miso soup I've ever tasted! The atmosphere is nice, jazz music in the background. My daughter and I really enjoyed our visit and will be back!
