Kokai Sushi Lounge - Doral

Everything was quite enjoyable. The Mix Yaki was a bit dry for our liking, but it had great flavor. The Vulcano Roll and gyozas were absolutely delicious! And the desserts—fried ice cream and almond pie—were simply PERFECT! We will definitely be ordering again.

The taste was terrible and the food was extremely cold. Additionally, the rolls arrived in a complete mess.

I'm not sure if they've changed owners or chefs, but the quality has really declined. The portion sizes are incredibly small, and they don’t even provide the ingredients I requested. It's disappointing because I used to be a regular customer.

I give this restaurant three stars because the service was good, but the wasabi tasted like old toothpaste. My sashimi had thick, uneven cuts, and the white fish was ice-cold and watery. I won't be returning. However, my wife really enjoyed her boiled concoction sushi, which is another reason for the three stars—it definitely wouldn’t have been a two-star experience. I usually agree with other five-star reviews, but this visit didn’t meet my expectations.

The food here is consistently amazing—fresh and generously portioned at reasonable prices. The service is attentive and friendly. This is my go-to sushi spot, and I love the laid-back atmosphere.
