Dawson's Grill - Dixon

I found it frustrating that the waiter didn't write down our order and ended up making mistakes. The service was slow, possibly due to some staffing issues they seemed to be experiencing.

The staff is extremely impolite. The menu leaves much to be desired. The restaurant had a terrible odor on both occasions I visited.

Decent food, bad service on several occasions. Whenever I dine here I have to ask and/or find the wait staff to place my order. Waitress repeated order 3x and still got it wrong, had to remind staff of a missing item, which was delivered as we were packing up to leave. I like this place for drinks and appetizers, dining in is difficult and frustrating.

Ordered the pastrami sandwich based on the servers recommendation. There was ver little pastrami and the texture was like store bought lunch meat. The service was almost self serve. When we asked for condiments the server pointed to where we could get them and after we were through eating my friend asked for a takeout box and the server again pointed to where she could get it. Basically the server just brought us the food and that was that.

This charming restaurant in downtown Dixon has a relaxed atmosphere, with a friendly staff and ample parking available nearby.
