Deep South Pies - Dickson

If you want a little taste of heaven… pay a visit to Deep South Pies. I stopped by on my way to a corporate event to pick up some tasty treats and my taste buds couldn’t have been more satisfied. Debbie is amazing and her pies are delicious. I took some home to the family and they were a hit. Homemade and absolutely delicious.

Love dropping in Deep South Pies for lunch to pick up a delicious savory galette (my favorite is spinach artichoke) and a sweet treat (love peach hand pies when in season). There's usually a good selection of other hand pie flavors (apple, cherry, blueberry, chocolate, and more). And the bourbon pecan pie is wonderful. Just remember Deep South is only open Wednesday through Friday. Be sure to call ahead to place special orders.

A must have! The chocolate hand pie was so delicious that I forgot to snap a picture of it and it was completely consumed before I made it back to my hotel (2 minutes away). The crust was flaky and the flavor was just right. I recommend stopping by early for greatest selection.

These pies are each hand made, BAKED, and delicious. Don’t forget the galettes, they are savory and great for breakfast!
