Yupdduk Diamond - Diamond Bar

First heard about Yupdduk when my friend's family suggested lunch on a rainy Friday afternoon, and for a mom and pop shop that specializes in rice cake stew, it's a pretty nice spot that hits all the spots. The waitress (and cook) was a nice and sweet Korean lady who seated me right away, and lets me hold the spot for my buddy and his family, and would help refill our cups of water when we needed it (and boy, it was a lot, according to what we had). The restaurant is a hole in the wall place near the plaza where it's at, so it's easy to miss when passing by, but once you're inside, it felt so cozy when you walk in. Everything reminded me of home, and it was so comfortable to just sit down, relax, and take a look at the menu while you're at it. Everything about the place is perfect to just grab a bite and take shelter from the cold (evidently from the downpour of rain on a Friday afternoon)What we had was the Yupdduk with original spiciness per my buddy's suggestion. Lemme say this: if you do order that Yupdduk with that original spicy setting, get ready to sweat, because that was the hottest thing I've had all week (or ever), yet still it tastes so freakin good on a cold day like this. Your only saving grace would be the banana milk or any yogurt drink on their drink menu. For only $2, those drinks are a lifesaver haha.Overall, 5/5 stars, would definitely want to try this place again, especially on a cold, and maybe rainy, day!!!

I really wanted to like this place. I even came twice, hoping that I would be a regular customer. The first time I dined here, it was a pleasant experience (hence my return the second time). We ordered the Yap Oh the dish with more fish cake. The spice levels are pretty serious, so if you aren't into spicy food I would settle for extra mild or no spice at all. The first time around, service was great and food was delicious. This was also considering the fact that we were one of two groups dining at the establishment. However, the second time around the place was a lot more packed and we came with a larger group. We ordered the Yap Oh along with a the pork and chicken wings. The pork and the chicken wings are greatly seasoned and well cooked, highly recommend ordering this dish. My reason for not returning to this restaurant: customer service. Because it is a smaller establishment, they have proven that they do not acquire the skills to best serve customers when there is an influx of people dining here. When things got busy, they messed up our order of the Yup Oh and gave it to a table that arrived AFTER us. We had to wait an extra 30 minutes (total wait time: roughly an hour) for another Yup Oh to be made. I highly suggest that the restaurant establish a plan to stay organized when many people choose to eat there.

Fine but didn't take out sausages even though I asked and it was a dietary concern.

They said 20-25min. When I pick up the orders, but it was not ready and they stared to cook. Don’t go to yupdduk Diamond Bar.

Sigh.. we ordered via ubereats several times and they have messed up on our order EVERY single time without a fail. Don't bother including order notes..they completely ignore them. And there are always missing items.. i get a stomachache every time i eat here but i always blamed it on the spiciness. Today we ordered it mild, and everyone in our household got a stomachache. We noticed they have never passed a health inspection with anything higher than a B and that is a little disturbing. We probably won't be ordering or eating here anymore.
