Common Grounds Cafe - Dharmsala

Absolutely one of my favourite places in Mcleodganj. Very close to main market and bus stand, yet quiet and secluded. The location is just perfect. The hosts are very sweet. The food, the vibe, everything is wonderful. We sat there all day, no disturbance, just eating and chilling and sipping on ginger lemon honey. The food is delicious. We ordered fried rice, crispy chicken and sha tag. Everything was yummy. Totally recommended.

It's away from the noise.. good food, comfortable seating. We went for the first time since lockdown, however seeing the previous reviews, it didn't satisfy as much as we had heard about it. Probably a few of their chefs aren't available right now. Value for money is good.

What a great find. This family run cafe, complete with ancient friendly dogs, cute young squeaky clean infants, and the sweetest grandpa is a Tibetan god send. Sweetness abounds, and the food is clean, tasty, healthy, and not overspiced like almost every where in India. At least for a western or asian palette. Almost everything I had was great, healthy, made me feel good eating it, and didn't sit heavily after digestion. Their ingredients are good quality too. But take your time, the food is cooked to order, and while most people in India are used to meals coming in minutes, this takes a while. Its ok, bring a book, work on your computer, chat with your neighbour. Its a friendly place. 5 stars.

Best South East Asian cafe in McLeodganj. I loved their Cantonese pan fried noodles (chicken) with salad. It was best noodles I had in last few months which I had tastes which was closer to noodles in kuala Lumpur. Deserts Rum ball was refreshingly good. The Ambience was perfect in winters and their interior was perfectly decorated with books, mugs etc. Staff was little helpful too and prices was reasonable for food they serve. It's located nearby to main market Mcleodganj square and easily accessible. I would recommend this wonderful cafe

It is the most pocket friendly cafe with very humble hosts. The food is great.
