Eating at this restaurant is simple yet tasty. The decor is lovely and creates a nice atmosphere to linger in. There is also a shop on the ground floor with a variety of items. The juice is a bit expensive and just average in taste.
The roti is tasty and the ambiance is very cozy! Highly recommend a visit.
The cafe is two storeys at the top of a store that sells eco-friendly, locally made goods (you have the follow the signs around the store to get to it). The food is local (lots of green chillies) and the staff understand how to veganize dishes. They seem to get quite a few vegan customers and they speak English well. They have two desserts labelled as vegan. The place is gorgeous and they have a cute cat. Pricey for average local food, but the concept and the setting are lovely and it’s comforting to know the food is vegan (it’s also one of the few instances I can actually eat local food because they usually add chicken powder to everything). They take credit card and staff are really friendly. Seems laptop friendly (saw people working but didn’t see any electrical outlets).
I have been dining at this restaurant for many years for two main reasons. Firstly, the food is delicious. Secondly, it is one of the few vegetarian options in Dhaka. However, during my recent visit after five years, I felt discriminated against when I was asked to pay before my meal was served. I was told that this is a standard policy, while another group near me was allowed to pay after they had finished eating. The owner and manager confirmed that this policy applies to all customers and there are no exceptions for paying before being served.
