I cannot recommend the Einstein’s Bros. Bagels in Terminal A near Gate 9 in DFW Airport. My wife and I attempted to buy two bagel sandwiches there on July 10, 2022, during a layover. We waited after placing our order in the very small area by the counter until the manager rather brusquely ordered all waiting patrons to “stand on the carpet” in the adjacent departure area. She was rather rude, and “please” and “thank you” seemed not to be part of her lexicon. We waited … and waited … and could hear our flight being called down the terminal. Finally, we could no longer wait when the airline threatened to close the doors, so we left without our food. We had waited a total of 37 minutes for two sandwiches that never came. In an airport! My instincts told me that complaining or requesting a reimbursement would have been futile. Upon returning home, I got online to Einstein’s Bros. Bagels customer service site and found a fillable form stating “To be more responsive during the COVID-19 crisis, we have moved to an email-only support model. Our team is baking up some goodness, but we’ll respond within 3-5 business days.” That is a blatant lie. It has been 44 days since I submitted that form, a section of which states “Please select the nature of your contact”. It offers several selections including “Refund request”, which I completed, including a detailed description of my experience. Instead of the form reflecting a good business practice, it is an obvious distraction allowing customers to feel good about their complaint about which they will never receive a response. This reflects horrendously on Einstein’s Bros. Bagels, and I trust this review will be of use to others.
POOR SERVICE!!! Two people working this location 5/12/22 around 1pm and gave THE WORST SERVICE I have ever encountered ANYWHERE!!! I was the only person when arrived at counter and was COMPLETELY IGNORED...young man finally put his phone down and stopped talking to his coworker and took my order. They started talking again and never made any effort to fix one simple cup of coffee. After a while I did say something about my order, but still nothing. Finally they made my order...on their own timing after they were through conversing. They both should be fired...today!!!
The prices on the Einstein Bagel offerings were marked up, as expected for an airport, but the quality was subpar. The sandwich we received as a mess, and the portions of cream cheese we received for our bagels were very small. Unless you absolutely must have a bagel, I would skip this shop.
