Zeff's Coney Island - Detroit

I am disappointed to see negative reviews about this restaurant because the food here is excellent! I have been a loyal customer for almost 5 years and every visit has been consistently great. My favorite dish is the farmers omelette. The lady at the counter may not always seem friendly and may come across as a bit brusque, but I understand that the staff is always busy and working hard. It is possible that there may be an occasional mistake with a dish due to the high volume of customers they serve. Unless you have worked in the fast food industry, you may not fully appreciate the challenges they face. Despite any minor issues, I will continue to dine here and support this establishment.

ATTENTION TRUCKERS !! Picking up a load? Waiting too long at Wolverine? If you can, this place is one block over. I got the #5 breakfast special, I'm telling you, it hit the spot !! especially the over-sized sausage links. Everything was tasty, and not bad on the price. Definitely recommended !!!

I entered hungry and left more than satisfied. The Western Omelette was very good.

I ordered the salmon and fries and it was delicious. It may not have looked appealing, but it tasted great. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. I would definitely return to this restaurant.

Zeff's Coney Island is considered legendary among members of the Pharmacy fraternity Phi Delta Chi, Alpha Eta chapter. Their combination of delicious food, fast service, and close proximity to Wayne State University's School of Pharmacy in the 1980s made Zeff's a beloved spot during one's education. Even to this day, reunions continue to be held at their location on 2469 Russell.
