Sloppy Chops - Detroit

It was an enjoyable experience, the food was good, the staff was friendly, the parking was bad, the music was good, there was a large group making a lot of noise but they eventually quieted down, overall I think I would go back

The food was SO DELICIOUS!!! The service was great ! I will definitely go back !!

Service was not good. Our waiter didn’t come check on us after he took our order. I’m not sure if it was the automatic 18% gratuity that was added to our bill that made him feel as if he didn’t need to see if we were satisfied with our food, needed a refill, napkin or anything. The food wasn’t that good either. Lamb chops were over cooked and shrimp pasta was overly salty. We got more attention from the busboy who was cleaning our table while we were still seated and waiting over 15 minutes for our bill that we had to ask another waiter for because ours was nowhere to be found.

All new restaurants have to work out the quirks. Having said that, I was impressed by the quality of the food Cowboy steak was awesome the sloppy sauce is a recipe I would love to have at home. The mac and cheese was much better than the average with a wonderful mix of cheeses and baked to perfection. Lacking was bread on the table and alcoholic beverages. Service was good but could have been faster when it came to getting the bill and togo boxes. The atmosphere is casual and yet classy. I would recommend this restaurant for special occasions or date night. Parking wasn't an issue; however, if it is they offer valet service. Enjoy

This place is very nice and the food is delicious. The only reason I gave service stars is the fact the food is brought out its in pieces. My husband's entree and my veggies came out at the same time and there was a wait for the other items to complete our meals. We understood this was a soft opening and they are still working out the kinks. We're definitely going to return and invite friends and family to join us
