During the walk through downtown, I wanted to go somewhere to watch the games while I get a bite to eat. And since this place wasn't super busy, I went to...
Good food. I don't think this place is spectacular, but it's decent. I think what makes it good are the variety of bbq sauces. I was here a few times...
This was our first time eating at Red Smoke Barbecue and I will definitely go back. When we went to greeting, we were comforting and friendly, we were sitting immediately. At first I order a Tennessee Punch that was not made for the weak, so be ready to leave this place drunk from a drink. I could smell the alcohol before the drink came to my table... I had to drink in moderation. For a starter we ordered the Cajun Fish Bites, the fresh, hot and full of delicious soul spice taste. The Mac and the cheese was a 10/10, while the chopped greens made with chicken could use some more flavor so an 8/10. The corn bread was sweet with a little spice, that was different, but still fingers lick well. We order the Pull Pork Platter which is the image with Mac and cheese and the Texas Beef Brisket (lean, this is the one with collar green. Everything in this facility was amazing and fulfilled. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who goes to Detroit. This place is also 7 minutes walk from the basement and football field.
The food was really good and plentiful! Had a drink with an alcohol infused pineapple... not for the week! My server was also super nice.
