Chan's Chinese - Detroit

I'm not sure what food the other reviewers were eating, but the food we had was awful. We ordered BBQ ribs and chicken fried rice. The BBQ ribs were overcooked, tough, and lacked flavor. The chicken fried rice was also unpleasant. The rice itself was fine, but the imitation chicken with a texture similar to packing peanuts ruined the dish.

I've been coming to this restaurant since the 90s... It's awesome! The food is top-notch and absolutely delicious.

This was my go to Chinese food back in the day when I lived in Detroit. Haven’t been able to get good Chinese food north of 8 mile in a while. Decided to drive to Detroit to check out Chan’s again. Almond chicken and shrimp fried rice, just like years ago. I had a hard time calling in to place an order, but finally got through with food ready in 15 min. Arrived and waited 45 min. Although irritated on the wait, was well worth the wait. Don’t forget the egg rolls. The best of the best. Highly recommended.
