Lighthouse - Destin

Most of the entrées were half-off, with a broad selection ranging from seafood to steaks. All dishes were full-sized and included a salad and a side. I ordered a seafood platter that came with scallops, fried fish, fried shrimp, and a crab cake, while my wife chose the popcorn shrimp. My platter included one piece of fried fish, one crab cake, four small scallops, and five to six medium fried shrimp. The regular price of the platter was $27, and given the portion I received, I would have been quite upset if I had paid full price. The half-price seems a bit more reasonable, although I think it should be a few dollars lower. I could see the platter being priced around $18 to $20 at full price, but not $27. The shrimp and scallops were tasty and not overcooked, while the fish was decent, although I forgot to ask what type it was, and it tasted a bit like catfish. The crab cake seemed to lack homemade quality, with too much seasoning and filler; I couldn’t really discern the crab meat. Next time, I think I'll stick to a dish focused on a single type of seafood. My wife and kids all loved the popcorn shrimp, especially my little girl, who wanted to come back every day. The baked potato was perfectly cooked, and the side salad was average. The service was excellent; our waiter was calm, not too loud, and very accommodating. I would definitely return to try other entrées at half price.
