Kirkby House - Desford

This restaurant operates very smoothly. The service, food, and atmosphere all scored a perfect five out of five. The location is great and the hotel is highlighted by its peaceful ambiance. The dining experience was for dinner and it was a sit-down meal in one of the five charming rooms.

The room itself was lovely as was the service and location. Unfortunately we froze as there was no heating . The heater provided was not adequate enough to heat big room. We paid for jacuzzi and could not use it as no hot water, nor could we shower before leaving as water still cold. We were told to contact manager if not happy but she was not available. Waste of 100 pounds. Service: 4

Beautiful location and lovely room. The double spa bath was great. Didn't eat in the restaurant only had the breakfast hampers which was nice. If it had the option for a menu and room service would've been nicer. The only quirk could have been one off but drunken guy kicking off in bar/reception as we got there was weird. Also it seemed either someone living in a room next door or who works there needs to turn down their rap music. If we had been older and went to bed early then it would have been impossible to suffer through the loud noise. Staff could be more aware and address this before it carried on again next morning. Rooms: Only place in the area with an in room spa bath for two.
