La Abuelita Bakery - Desert Hot Springs

At 10 a.m. on Saturday morning, we decided to grab a snack. As visitors from outside the city, we found this restaurant through a search on Google Maps. The menu offered a great variety, and the staff were both friendly and efficient.

I was looking forward to having fresh bread at 7:30 a.m., but unfortunately, it wasn't available. However, the bread that I did try was quite delicious, including some varieties I had never tasted before, which I ended up finishing completely.

I visit this restaurant twice a week. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the bread is absolutely divine. I tried their star cookies and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious they are. Now I make sure to get them every week—they're reminiscent of shortbread cookies. So tasty! If you’re looking for bigger rolls for cheese steaks, just give them a call a day in advance.

Stopped in on a fluke. One of the best flukes ever! Fantastic pastries, great customer service, clean and bright!
