Proudfoot Bird - Des Moines

Proudfoot and Bird never disappoints! The food tonight was outstanding! Even my son loved the charred carrots as an appetizer. Our server, Eric, was so much fun while also very professional. We keep coming back and will continue to do so!

Love the feeling of this place – like a comfortable dining with friends with marble tables and 5 piece silver cutlery table setting. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The salad special, oysters and filet were amazing. Our service by Brad was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable.

Eric is an attentive server who makes his guests feel welcome. We bonded over our common love for Vouvray and he convinced me beets aren’t all bad, in fact they’re quite delicious. Especially with flaky cooked to perfection salmon. If you’re in Des Moines for any reason, Proudfoot Bird is a must try.

We took the family for my wife’s birthday and received poor service, cold food and one meal was forgotten. My wife and I decided to give them another chance and once again received poor service and food was not hot and subpar at best.

We had a family dinner for my wife's 60th birthday. The staff was attentive, our table was ready and the food and drinks were spaced nicely so we could enjoy conversation along with a delicious meal. Service staff were exceptional.
