My dad passed a couple of years ago, and while I sitting at the Iowa Beef Steak House, I couldn't help but think that this is exactly the kind of place that he would have LOVED! The dad granddad energy was so huge!!! The restaurant is from a bygone era, where steak houses were king. Sure they were special but they still comfortable and achievable. No frills. No tweezers. No buerre blanc. Just beef, charred slightly over an open flame, fresh with grill marks, and bursting with carnivorous flavor. There were other things on the menu beside steaks, but who cares? Anyone who goes should order beef and be ecstatic about it. I had the ribeye, as one should. There is an old school, 1980s salad bar that comes with most meals. Get your ruffage it will make you feel better about the meat. This place ain't fancy, but when I went on Father's Day it was packed. As it should be. This is the place of dad dreams. And dad dreams of beef!
Iowa steakhouse that is a blast from the past right out of 1982. Super old feeling. Have a salad bar and the steaks are good. The pricing isn’t bad and it's definitely an experience.
Delicious food, cozy casual environment, fast service this place has it all will be back in the future
