Fong's Pizza - Des Moines

Usually I would give 5 stars all around cause this is a wonderful place, but my roommate recently got food poisoning from there after eating the loaded potato pizza.

Used to be a great place! Has kind of gone down hill over the years. The pizza by slice is super thin and taste like cardboard now a days. Also had to wait 30 minutes in line to get in because they were behind from their online orders. After the 30 minutes we left because we still weren't in. Better food/pizza options available.

We had the general tso’s pizza. It was so dry it was barely edible, we wanted to ask for a side of sauce but our server never came back. The wings were okay but for being made with gochujang that had zero heat to them. Interesting menu items but definitely not well executed.

After leaving one of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant at the angry goldfish I came here. Where i was pleasantly surprised with a server who actually introduced herself (Lauren. You rock! AND asked me how my food was. Low bar, I know but frankly I was buzzing with joy in comparison and Fongs at least treated me right. I hate to say it, but the pizza I had by the slice was pretty old and hard, but tasty all the same. I'd come back a thousand times more before I ever looked at some of these other horrible restaurants

Great pizza, great service. Pro tip: Make sure to read the menu carefully so you know what you are ordering.
