It takes forever that someone even takes your drink order. I ordered to run today and went to use the bathroom while waiting, and the toilets were incredibly dirty! I've never seen it like that before. Despite the higher price, I will go to Normandy Park Ale House for my burgers.
I had the pleasure to talk to the server, Renee, to place my order to 7/31/2022. Renee went beyond and beyond to help me complete my order and find answers to my questions. I appreciate Renee's amazing customer service and care to make sure that the food was for my order together. Renee was very friendly, friendly, understanding, patients, helpful and personal. I also appreciate the positive atmosphere that Renee produces during a busy rush hour. I enjoyed the positive experience I had with this Red Robin for Renee. They're people like Renee who make my day brighter and better. Renee deserves recognition for her excellent customer service, so I am glad that I have the opportunity to publish an evaluation here for this Red Robin location.
I visited Red Robin in Des Moines and had a disappointing experience. Our server neglected our table and didn't come back to check if we needed anything. While she tended to other tables, she skipped us. As a family of 6, we usually receive great service but this time was different. We didn't receive drink refills or additional fries. We were only given one page of ranch dressing and had to request more. I won't be returning to this restaurant, I am very disappointed.
First bartender was great and she went on break. We asked for ice water twice and a knife to cut a chicken sandwich to half. We didn't come either. We asked to talk to a manager and they didn't even send one. There were many people to serve. Can't use Covid anymore as an excuse. We were very disappointed.
A couple of the bartenders provide very good service, but some of the servers I've had have not been good. Either they forget to bring silverware and napkins, or forget to bring drink or french fry refills. And one guy in particular priorities making the same cheesy joke at every table over being on top of his orders. I don't like that at all. Simply provide great service and that should speak for itself regarding your tip. When you hear the guy make the same joke over and over it really kills any genuine connections that could possibly have been made. Just sayin. Food is always good. Drinks could be better (checking if low on syrup for Coke or Sprite for instance). Service could be more consistent. I frequently see a group of servers chilling out at the pickup orders section talking about their hot dates this past weekend. Pretty inappropriate chatter coming from the employees for the entrance to the restaurant. I'll still keep coming here but will lower my expectations.
