The Old Dog - Derbyshire Dales

Nice to see the old dog again open! yesterday afternoon after a walk in the opposite and did not expect to get a table, but fortunately there were some tables outside (and some inside we discovered on order). there was a ten-minute break on food orders that were placed as we got to order the cash, understandable given the fact that the pub was busy, but the bar staff came to find us as promised when it was time to place our order. we had a slice of vegan cake while we waited, but it wasn't so long before our meal arrived. the pizzas were great and my daughter also enjoyed their vegan pizza from the children's menu. I had the vegan burger who was delicious, especially the bhaji that was served with it! we all enjoyed the homemade shiny. we will be back soon!

We did the ash bourne to dovedale roundgang 8 miles and stopped for lunch at the old dog. eating, service, drinks and beutiful hof, where amazing. I had fish n chips. amazing. great work youngs thanks for the rounding of our day perfectly

Excellent pub, we are for some eating and drinks after the walk around dovedale with the dogs. love the menu, much to choose. amazing location, we sat outside in a beautiful courtyard, many seating available, many other dogs also. we ordered eating easily and it quickly arrived, no complaining about eating, would be good if the waiters had offered to bring some food tho, had to leave my eating to get it all. eating was super, very well joined, excellent aromen and great presentation. I highly recommended it here.

Visited on Friday afternoon. great pub, a lot of character, friendly staff, good beer, not far from the entrance to the dovedale valley.

As we pass through on our walk , we stop for pint , its was very nice , quick look at the menu, very good selection, very nice big and lots room outside, worth the visit
