Hillview - Depew

Before going to the movies, I decided to stop for dinner. The service was good, but I was disappointed with the breakfast I ordered. The hash browns had parts that were inedible, and the portion of the horned beef hash was very small.

The food was great; I had a delicious chicken finger sub! So why the low rating? The woman at the register was quite short, but unfortunately, she was incredibly rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. She showed no manners or courtesy and didn’t use any basic niceties like "please" or "thank you." Instead, she just held out her hand without explaining what she wanted, leaving me confused. It's a shame because this place used to be so much better in the past.

This is a fantastic place to dine. I had dined at the Gardenview before, which is apparently connected to this restaurant, but they have entirely different menus. We will definitely return to both. It's nice to have a local gem like this, especially as so many restaurants struggle to stay afloat. My only complaint was that the seating booths need some attention. Both of us found the booths uncomfortable, as they were a bit worn and had been poorly repaired in several places. This unfortunately detracted from our meal. On a positive note, I had a "white strawberry cake" for dessert, which was fantastic! It arrived beautifully presented with fresh cream on top and was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back!

My friend ordered French toast she poured maple syrup on it took a few bites and noticed flies in the syrup she ran to the bathroom and vomited. We then talked to the waitress and she was ill with her eyes. I couldn't finish my meal and we left. They only accepted the French toast from the bill, no excuses from the owner was my bill. $17. Watch this dirty place... please share my story.

Been coming here since I was a kid, it?s not what is used to be. Food was mediocre and the service was terrible. All the waitresses were busy talking loudly they couldn?t even refill coffee or bring us our check and we weren?t the only ones. There was barely anyone in the restaurant and now I see why. Will never go back.
