The Wild - Denver

This Happy Hour margarita is simply delicious and refreshing! The staff were warm and friendly from the moment I walked ...very cool vibe here! Cozy place near the Union Train station!I hope the Owner will consider increasing the wages for the quality folk working here ?

I was so excited to try The Wild for my birthday cocktail! I had heard great things! Unfortunately I never made it through the front door to try anything. We walked in around 4pm and three of the staff were talking with someone at the bar. We waited several minutes at the please wait to be seated sign, making eye contact with the employees. They were so engrossed with whomever they were speaking with, that after a few minutes we just left as we felt awkward, almost as if we were interrupting and went to Union Station. Disappointing, but the atmosphere did seem nice, for at least what we could see past the sign. I hope restaurants/ bars in Denver find the importance again in acknowledging guests when they enter an establishment; even a we will be with you in a moment would suffice.

Amazing cocktails and great conversation! I visited with my family for an after-work drink, and you shouldn't miss their happy hour! It's definitely one of the best I've found in Denver. I highly recommend the Cherry Garcia; it’s a smoother, fruitier take on an old fashioned that goes down way too easily. Our table also really enjoyed the revolver and espresso martini. Tan and Anders were fantastic and so much fun to chat with; I can’t wait to return!

This café has a wonderful atmosphere, excellent coffee, and pretty good food. However, the staff often seems indifferent to your presence. It's reminiscent of an "Illegal Pete's" vibe, where it's like, "Oh, you want to give us your money? Cool. We might assist you in a few minutes, or we might just ignore you entirely." And be warned: they can become quite upset if you attempt to use their one table that accommodates more than one laptop.

The parking situation was another challenge. One of the waitresses, the same one who had taken my menu, came out to assist me with the parking machine. Unfortunately, she either didn't realize I still needed help or wasn't prepared to deal with the cold and quickly went back inside. I ended up struggling to figure it out on my own, which was frustrating. On top of that, the door to the parking garage wouldn’t work with my parking ticket, so I had to go back into the restaurant and exit through the lobby. Having a building manager on-site would really help with these parking and technical issues, as it feels like the restaurant shouldn't be held responsible for them. Despite these hiccups, I enjoyed my visit, especially for a book club meeting. We did ask for the music to be turned down, but it seemed to be turned up instead. On a positive note, the croissant was fantastic, and the wine selection was good—overall, it was a fun place!
