We ordered the spicy salmon, spider roll, volcano roll and the flower rolls. The tempura shrimp in the spider roll had a funky taste and the spicy salmon was utterly tasteless. The other two rolls werebetter, but despite looking good, they still tasted no better than pre-packed rolls you could find in a foodcourt. Additionally their water tasted metallic, making me feel as if it came straight from the tap without any kind offiltration at all. Makes me concerned about lead content. Overall, tasteless generic sushi with good presentation. If you're inThornton, skip it and go to Matsumoto.
Came this Saturday at 9:30pm, sign says they close at 10pm and the OPEN sign was on. My husband and son wanted a sushi roll, the lady at the front got mad and said no we are closed, but I told her your sign says 10pm?! She said yes but we stop seatingpeople an hour before because our cooks need to leave by 10pm. This makes no sense! First of all, turn off your OPEN sign! 2nd,change your hours!! Restaurants take customers in until the sign says ???? first time we have ran into something like this.Everyone beware, their closing time is actually an hour before what they have written outside, if you show up you will be deniedservice. Very disappointed.
My limited credentials are as a Korean-born, Seattle-raised sushi enthusiast. This hidden gem is what I’ve been looking for!! Easily the freshest fish I’ve had in a long time. The salmon fatty yellowtail was basically a melt-in-your-mouth experience. The rolls were flavorful soo satisfying. Agadashi tofu was simple, savory, perfectly executed. Prices were reasonable forwhat you’re getting. Our dining-in wait after we had ordered was less than 25 minutes at a high-volume dinnertime. Tip: Thisplace is owned/managed by Mizu Izakaya folks so if you’re looking for that level of quality, you’ll find it here formom-and-pop-shop vibes. Thank me later.
Mika Sushi II is hands down my favorite restaurant when my husband and I are wanting Sushi. Kitty, the owner, is fantastic. The size and quantity are fantastic . Recommend the lunch specials can't bet the deal.Food: 5/5
I went to this place for a birthday dinner and we got a sushi boat. They made it so fast and it was so good. They didn't come and check on us, and when we asked for things, it took a while to get it to our table. They were really nice, though. Overall, it was a great place, and kind people.Food: 5/5
