Le Bilboquet Denver

Our party of four had a wonderful dining experience here. The wait staff was very professional, and helpful. Our table was comfortable and they have a very nice selection of dishes and cocktails. The name of the restaurant is for the wooden cup withattached ball on a string game, see photo.

Authentic French bistro food in a very elegant setting. Wine list is excellent, nice to see Veuve rose on the menu. Foie gras terrine was generous in its portion. Escargots were delightful and you need more bread to sop up the beautifully herbed butter.Smoked salmon was super fresh and served with excellent accoutrements. Mussels were in a never ending bowl of savory white winebutter herbed broth. Very happy meal.

The restaurant was crowded and noisy for a Wednesday, which was disappointing as I was hoping for a more relaxed atmosphere. The service was average as they forgot to bring bread to the table until I reminded them. They also approached our table too frequently before we had a chance to decide on our order. However, the highlight of the experience was definitely the outstanding food. Although a bit on the expensive side, the quality of the food definitely justified the price. It would be great if the service could be improved to match the excellent food.

The dining experience at this restaurant was absolutely delightful. The flavors, the wine selection, the service, and the atmosphere were all fantastic. Be sure to try the mussels, salmon, and tuna tartare - all three dishes were delicious!

I have found that the quality of the meals at this restaurant has significantly improved since it first opened. During my last two visits, I enjoyed the butternut squash soup, beet salad, croque madame, and pork belly sandwich. The service was good, and I plan to return soon, especially now that it's French onion soup season.
