Great Wall Chinese Food - Denver

Good place for fast, affordable NY style Chinese with good portions. Service is fast, but the sitting area is more of a waiting area, so it's best to do pickup. You'll have to ask about what's vegan, but the lady behind the counter is knowledgeable about all the dishes. There's better out there (delivery only Sidewok Cafe their incredible 10/10 vegan options. At 4930 W Colfax Ave), but this is East Coast comfort food.

I have seen this place listed as a New York-syle Chinese takeout place for years, with no reviews. I found myself staying in roughly their part of town, with a taste for Chinese food. With no HappyCow reviews, I looked at their general reviews, which were generally pretty good, but with a few extremely unhappy people sprinkled in. I called the restaurant, and they said there was nothing problematic in their Mixed Vegetable with Tofu in Garlic Sauce, so I gave it a try. My ideal dish would have a bit more sauce, but it had a good amount and variety of toothsome veggies (not overcooked to limpness), and plenty of tofu as well, in a tasty sauce. They don 't offer brown rice, which I prefer, but otherwise it was a very good meal. I didn 't survey the rest of their vegetable offerings, but the meal they made me was very satisfying.

They know how to cook tofu, and for cheap. First time here and got the Sesame Tofu with rice as a lunch special.

Best spot for Boneless Ribs and pork fried rice! I 'm a New Yorker and finding boneless ribs 'real ' pork fried rice in CO is hard to come by. I stop by when in the area, since im not local. This Lil spot gets my vote for taste, has a Lil NY flavor!

The maitre d greeted us with a warm smile and walked us to the table with the best view (see photo). We declined the sommelier's service and opted for Perrier instead. The wait staff was prompt with our order. The chefs obviously studied at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and created a masterpiece that the honorable General Tso would be proud of. Every bite was a delight and the ambience was exquisite. I would give this 6 instead of 5 stars if I could. My only complaint is that they lack valet service.
