Daughter Thai Kitchen (platte St)

I made a dinner reservation, and a table was ready for us upon arrival. The service was prompt and friendly. The appetizer was delicious and cooked to perfection. The timing for food delivery was also spot on. Our server took the time to engage in conversation with us, which is quite rare these days. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, combining classic Thai elements with a modern dining experience. It's situated in a busier area of town, so it's advisable to arrive early if you need parking. Ideally, consider walking or using Uber to get there.

We started with the Bangkok ribs and the street chicken. The ribs arrived just a minute after we ordered, served lukewarm in a sweet sticky sauce, and they were the highlight of our meal. I believe if they had been served hot, they would have been outstanding. The chicken followed shortly after, about 30 seconds later, and was also lukewarm. While it had nice flavors and appealing colors, I appreciated the peanut sauce. Next, we tried the emerald pad thai and the lava beef for our entrees. Both came out just two minutes after we ordered, but unfortunately, neither was warm. The pad thai resembled a pile of dry, knotted noodles placed on a wonton wrapper, accompanied by a cold whole deep-fried crab that was mushy in texture. The beef was only lukewarm and lacked sufficient sauce. As for the cocktails, they were quite underwhelming. Overall, I don't think I would return unless there was a significant drop in price or a noticeable improvement in quality. Additionally, we felt very rushed throughout our experience, as the entire meal lasted under an hour.

Daughter is incredible! The evening lighting creates a fantastic vibe. The staff is very welcoming and attentive! The appetizers and drinks are excellent—I’ve loved every dish without exception! But you absolutely MUST try the Khao Soi Kai noodle curry! It’s mind-blowingly delicious!

Our server was wonderful and super helpful! Had a small issue with one of the dishes and it was taken care of quickly. Food is absolutely amazing. Perfect amount of options and an offering for every palate. The dining space is lovely and has such a great atmosphere. The cocktails were also exceptional.

Amazing food and service. I don’t normally take pics of my food but it was the prettiest pad Thai I’ve ever had, and pretty damn good tasting too!! The drinks were to die for!Dietary restrictions: They had items labels as gluten free which helps me a lot!
