Juicy Pig Barbecue - Denton

The customer service was good, but the food didn't quite live up to expectations. It lacked the smoky flavor that I was hoping for. The brisket resembled and somewhat tasted like tuna, which was surprising. The portion sizes were surprisingly small—not at all what I would expect from a Texas BBQ joint. The ribs were similarly small, and the macaroni and cheese had no flavor whatsoever. On a positive note, the potato salad was decent and came in a good portion size for the sides. I really love BBQ, but I’m puzzled by all the hype surrounding this place.

Juicy Pig BBQ came highly recommended, and I really enjoyed the food, especially the pork ribs. The potato salad was my favorite side dish, followed by the green beans and then the creamed corn. The sandwiches also looked delicious, packed with plenty of meat! Thank you, Juicy Pig!

In my opinion, it was a bit expensive, totaling $32.47 for two meals. My wife ordered the mac and cheese and absolutely loved it! She also got the Piglet plate, which included pork and a slice of bread. Everything was very good, but I would suggest improving the portion sizes and sticking with freshly baked rolls. Overall, it was a great barbecue experience, and I would give it 4 out of 5 stars!

Great little barbecue joint! Brisket and habanero sausage were great! Liked the twist with the jalapeno-cilantro slaw! And the young man that suggested I try Miss Kate's pies; sugar cream pie, was right on. I'll be back!
